Ranger

Here are the promised pictures of Ranger and his horse.  Ranger got his name because Dad thinks he looks like Strider.  However, the poor horse doesn't have a name.  Please comment if you have any suggestions for "horse's" name!  (Later we'll hold a poll...)

Ranger scouts for a good camp site.

 Behind the Scenes:

Ranger prepares to leave.

He takes a silly pose for the camera.  (He wanted to show off his tree-climbing skills.)

  2. Ha! That is what it looks like.

My favorites are the gorge and the sunrise from afar.

  3. Svend the Dwarf pauses in the passage, returning to the Main Hall (and the tavern) after a hard day's mining. He has happened upon a leather satchel obviously left behind by an absent-minded Dwarf. "Seems to belong to one of our scribes," he muses, leafing through parchments written in a hand that knew both the Angerthas runes and a smattering of Elvish characters as well. Studying the Elvish page, hoping to show off his comprehension of that impossible language the next time he met his Elf friend Farionthir, Svend realizes the page is a log of the horses stabled on such a date in the halls of Dain at the Lonely Mountain. One horse's name in particular amused him: "Ascaroch."

"Translated in the common tongue," Svend chuckles, "it means, more or less: Fast Horse."

    ((You asked for it))
